The Weld County Public Trustee is appointed by the Governor of the State of Colorado, for a term concurrent with the Governor's term. The Public Trustee is appointed to perform public service duties as prescribed in
Title 38 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. These duties include processing documents pertaining to Foreclosures of Deeds of Trust and Release of Deeds of Trust.
